An Apprenticeship allows you to work whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification and receive training and support. Apprenticeships should be expansive, and focus on developing the whole person for a job, a career and for life.
Apprenticeships are not just for school leavers and young people; there is no upper age limit and if you’re over 16, living in England and not in full-time education then you may be eligible to become an apprentice.
These qualifications will be gained within the workplace. They are based on national occupational standards. When you achieve your qualification it will demonstrate that you are competent in your job and that you can work to the standards expected by employers in your chosen industry.
